Do you review and analyze your competitor’s website? You should. I do. I always keep an eye on the business across the street, or in my case, across the internet. In the early days of SEO, it was the quantity, not quality of links that mattered. “Link building” consisted of mass spamming and buying of links, online directory submissions, building bad links, mass commenting on sites and blogs and using automated link bait. A negative SEO strategy involves crawling a website. This “forceful” crawling of the website puts strain on the web server, causing the website to slow down or even crash. Before the Google Penguin and Google Panda were let loose, SEO’s could manipulate a webpage’s rank more easily by adding lots of keywords to show Google that the page was relevant. This practice is what we now call keyword stuffing and is not just frowned upon by reputable SEO agencies, but is not tolerated by Google.
SEO is leading the way
Website optimization is a long-term process which requires carefully tracking all your efforts. When it comes to keywords, you have to know which ones work in favor of your rankings. Using bucket brigades is one great SEO strategy to increase user experience, according to Backlinko. These are simply words and phrases that keep people engaged. Google Plus works powerfully and Google has really given their Plus button a big advantage when it comes to their own ranking factors. It’s phenomenal. Before you publish, please proofread! Google doesn’t like spelling or grammar errors. Oh and don’t try to hide your keywords by, for example, placing them behind images because Google is much smarter than that.
Navigation affects conversions
Visitors who really like the look or feel of a website are more likely to recommend the website to their friends, coworkers, family members and other people with whom they are close – people just have a way of sharing the things they like, as well as the things they dislike. Search engines will not consider your site to be an authority if the links are only emanating from one type of source. Brands are generally most interested in gaining follow links as opposed to no-follow links because they help to increase ranking positions. But there’s a problem that has come from this. For some time now, brands have been incentivising bloggers to add unmarked paid for follow links – which is against Google and ASA guidelines. Google has worked to smash black-hat and spam-based link-building practices, penalizing link wheels, exchanges and paid links. In 2012 the Penguin update ushered in the link building reality we experience today. With it only natural link accumulation will gain your website & webpages authority.
Specific is the new epic content

Chase down citations and local links
You should never make your site too complicated, as it is important that search engine easily parse the content of your site and index them without any difficulty. There’s no point in creating new content if it’s not authentic enough to stand out. Even if you come up with an idea from a different source, it’s still up to you to offer your unique perspective that will add value to the particular topic. You should aim to have the target search keyword within one of the HTML headers in your content (e.g. H2, H3, etc.). Needless to say, Google is going to make meta descriptions and meta titles short for mobile sites. So it is advisable that you should not write long Meta descriptions and titles. Else, they will be truncated by Google.
